12) You Don’t Want To Go Back To School To Learn English

You don’t need any school or teacher to learn English. Besides it’s very harmful to unload all the responsibility of your English improvement to someone else. You must be the one to lead the way. Don’t act like an English learning zombie that only does what he’s told.
A teacher has to be just an adviser or a “wingman”. Not the one that controls what you are going to do in order to improve your English.

13) You Always Have Something Else To Do Before Learning English

1) You Are Lazy And Sooner Or Later You Give Up Everything You Start

If you want to learn a language you have to be tenacious and keep working for a long time. It’s like a marathon and laziness is your worst enemy.

What can you do to improve?

2) You Don’t Have Money To Learn English

Don’t worry because you don’t need any money to learn English.
It’s true that some money invested wisely can boost your English progression but money is not necessary at all. Sometimes it can even harm your English progression.
Don’t plan your English learning process thinking about money. Forget it!!!
If you lay the foundations of your English improvement in money then you are in the wrong way.

What can you do to improve?

Instead of money the pillars of your English have to be:

  • Good and strong motivation.
  • Intelligent planning.
  • Good habits.
  • Working your English through things that you really like.

3) You Don’t Want To Speak English Because Of Your Beginner Level

Don’t allow your shyness to stop you to do great things in live. If you like or need to improve your English then go ahead.
We are all learners at one time or another. Most people understand that you are learning English and sympathize with the effort you are doing.
As an example of that: I always try to help and encourage someone that makes the effort to speak in my native tongue.

What can you do to improve?

  • Don’t worry about making mistakes.
  • Don’t worry about your accent.
  • Don’t worry about your level.

4) You Aren’t Motivated To Learn English.

Motivation is basic if you want to succeed while learning English.
To learn a language is not an easy task and it’s very easy to give up if you don’t know how to keep a strong motivation all the way through.
Find your personal motivation to learn English.

What can you do to improve?

5) You Aren’t Good At Languages

Everybody can learn a language. You have to be utterly stupid to not be able to learn a language. Don’t let yourself give up by prejudices like this one.
Nobody is good at a language when starting to learn it.

What can you do to improve?

  • Just keep in mind that you are good at languages!
Aren’t you able to talk in your native tongue? Then English is no more than another language. Go for it!
